Our radiologists are all specialists in musculoskeletal imaging. They offer the full range of techniques including x-rays, ultrasound scans, CT & MRI scans to aid in the diagnosis of knee problems.
Dr Faris Almallah
Dr Faris Almallah MB ChB, MRCP, FRCR has been consultant radiologist since 2009 with special interest in cross sectional radiology and musculoskeletal imaging including MRI and ultrasound scan.
Dr Almallah has established the ultrasound guided injection service at Walsall Hospital where he works. He has modernised the imaging protocol at Walsall Hospital and the referring criteria for the musculoskeletal ultrasound.
Dr Almallah had his basic medical training in Colchester and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2003. Dr Almallah is a member of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) and trained in Radiology at Newcastle, Birmingham and Oxford. He did a post FRCR fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology including Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and joint injection at Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre NHS Trust, Oxford 2008/2009. He also trained in cross-sectional and non-vascular intervention in Uroradiology at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, University Hospital Birmingham.
Dr Almallah is also leading the service development of Cardiac Imaging and was selected from all European applicants by the European Society of Cardiac Radiology for a fellowship in Cardiac Imaging at the renowned Swiss Radiology Department of Universitätsspital Basel in 2011.
Dr Almallah is a member of the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR) and European Society of Radiology (ESR) and British Society of Cardiac Imaging (BSCI). He has published and presented at national and international meetings. He is enthusiastic on service development and provision of high quality radiology service. He is also a keen badminton player.
